Job Description

  • Manage, guide and work on the entire project cycle of project preparation from concept clearance to Board approval including project due diligence, appraisal, debt structuring, negotiations and closing of project financing decisions while ensuring sponsor capability, technical feasibility, financial and economic viability, full compliance with Bank’s policies and regulations, environmental and social sustainability and risk mitigation of the projects.
  • Develop strong relationship focussing on client orientation with counterparts in member countries to be able to identify, develop and manage a strong pipeline of good quality project finance opportunities in area of infrastructure and sustainable development aligned with the strategic and sector priorities of member countries and NDB’s mandate as outlined in the Country Partnership Plan (CPP).
  • Manage and ensure quality assurance and quality control in the whole process of project preparation including documents, reports and documentation, coordination and compliance with peer review and recommendations of departments concerned, and other procedural requirements of the Bank as well.
  • Perform duties as officer-in-charge for the Division in absence of Director General, as and when needed, for daily office management including also HR related, such as staff performance monitoring, training and skill enhancement, etc.
  • Stay abreast of the market developments, trends, opportunities and challenges for the operations team and provide inputs to relevant stakeholders on operations strategy, policies, budgets, business plan etc.
  • Nurture talent and coach the team to ensure continuous learning, enhancement of new and relevant knowledge and development of the team.
  • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the DG from time to time.
