Oversee delivery of value-added financing solutions to existing and prospective clients to augment client relationships and obtain transaction mandates.
Obtain mandates on merger and acquisition (M&A) deals, debt or equity capital market deals and lending transactions by leveraging the execution and lending capabilities of SMFG (Nikko Americas, Nikko Tokyo and SMBC).
Collaborate on a global basis for covered clients and support international clients (particularly Japanese clients) who are focused on the Americas.
Manage the current client portfolio and develop new relationships in order to create growth opportunities and maximize return on risk assets and minimize credit loss.
Manage the ongoing monitoring of the portfolio of existing clients proactively owning, responding to and anticipating any future needs, challenges or risks, and escalating in a timely manner.
Work with product specialists and subject matter experts across the bank to structure customized solutions that meet clients’ unique needs.
Provide leadership, direction, and management to the team as well as mentorship and develop opportunities to the next generation of leaders.
Handle more complex opportunities with strategic clients using networks, often at the Treasurer/CFO level; or assist in resolving difficult client issues.
Represent the company as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and conferences.
